First Craft Fair

Yesterday I participated in my very first craft fair. It was held at my former school Chief Charlo. I took lots of small things-table toppers, runners, mug rugs, and bags.
I saw lots of families and former students and sold a nice amount of things!

Starting a New Quilt

I have been itching to start a new quilt. I have been trying to follow my self imposed rule of finishing UFO's, but really! I'm the one who makes the rules, can't I also change them!

I also have difficulty opening a set of fat quarters, charms, etc. so I have waited a long time to open this Maison de Noel bundle!

I have this pattern to make a Christmas quilt.

So it is with glee I start to cut!

Appalachian Trail Adventure

We are off to begin our Appalachian Trail Thru Hike.

We will hit the trail with Lily and Sara on February 24. You can keep up with us at our traveling blog:

I won't be quilting for a while, just walking! I'm a bit afraid I may have a bad spell of withdrawal!

New Finishes

I have been trying to finish things! Here are a few things that I have completed lately! This zipper pouch I made using the Craftsy online class that is free. It was really fun and easy. The zipper was a snap!

The directions for this little bag I've had for an age just sitting there. I am disappointed in the edge by the zipper as it has already pulled away. I think I will take it apart and try again.

These mug rugs I made for Valentine's Day using the Sweetwater labels for February. I belong to the Label Crew and get some labels with a fun pattern every month. I ordered the fabric kit for their Etsy Shop. Their kits are always very reasonably priced!

A Few Finishes

I signed up to take several Craftsy classes. They are interesting and are pushing me to try new things.
The Block of the Month 2013 class is free. I have finished my January Blocks.

The Sapphire Quilt Club I belong to had a program last year about English paper piecing. I got these small hexies to try out. I finished them up and top stitched them to a tea towel.

Scrap Projects

I had a whole pile of scraps left from lots of different projects. What to do with them? They were too nice to throw away!  I decided to make mug rugs. I just started sewing and this is what I got!

Latest Projects

January
I know it has been a very long time since I posted any projects, but I was secretly working away on Christmas gifts for my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Now that Christmas is over, I can post them! These candle mats were fun to do! Lots of handwork!
I have all of the months finished except July and August!

Christmas Wreathes

I was so lucky to be able to visit my friend, Lucy, in South Carolina this year just in time for her famous Christmas wreath making party! It was so fun and I made this wreath with holly from her yard!

Lucy made this smaller wreath for me with this awesome snowman ribbon bow!

They are getting dry, so I must say goodbye and hope to made more next year!
