2011 Reading Challenge: Complete

I really pushed myself this year with Goodreads' 2011 Reading Challenge. I set 52 books as my goal. I completed this goal tonight at 9:45 PM. It feels really great to have accomplished this goal. I can't wait to set a new goal for 2012! Check out my widget in the right sidebar to see the books I read this year!

Christmas Getaway

We rented the Old Condon Ranger Station in the Swan Valley for 2 day this Christmas break.
It turned out to be a great time that we will turn into a winter tradition. We drove up Monday afternoon and got settled. Lily and Sara went along as pets are allowed there. Luc and Renata stayed at Grandpa's house.

We relaxed, read and cooked a great dinner. Tuesday we hiked around Holland Lake. There isn't much snow there.

Wednesday we got up late, relaxed and read. Then checked out and headed home. What a peaceful time!

December

December got away from me. Wow! What a busy month. Now that I am on Christmas vacation, I can post some of the projects that I have been working on.

I have finished a few Little Twisters. This one is for me! I just love this Barbara Brackman fabric-Arnold's Attic.

I finished my Big Twister and quilted it myself using the long arm machine at Patchwork Quilts.

I made 7 Little Twister mug rugs-friend, Robin's inspiration.

I have been reading to meet my 2011 goal. See the widget counting my books!

I look forward to using this layer cake for a project in 2012!
I wish all of you a peaceful holiday season and a fabulous New Year!
