I made this quilt this last weekend for a friend's 30th birthday. I bought the fabric Friday after school and gave her the quilt on Monday. Friend, Wendy coached me through the quilting!
I found the pattern on the Bee Square blog. I just loved this pattern. It was so easy. It is also my first quilt made with Kaffe Fassett fabric. Charlene and Toni would be proud!

Grommet Bags
Here are the 2 grommet bags I completed. I found this pattern at Moda Bake Shop. It called for a charm pack, but... I hate to open them! I loved this fabric so used a single piece instead.

Student's Journal Cover
One of my students is leaving on a trip to Australia with her family. I made this cover for her journal. I hope she has a great time. It's too bad I can't fit inside with the journal.

Quilt Class Today
I took a quilt class today and learned how to do a Convergence quilt designed by Ricky Tims. It was a really fun class taught by Darlene Miller. There were 3 of us and each of our quilts turned out so different.
here is mine! I made it with Cherrywood fabric that I bought at the Houston show a while ago. I'm working to finish the borders this evening while watching ( or listening to) a football game on TV.
I'm thinking about appliqueing a tree on it.

Another New Finish
Friend, Wendy's daughter is starting preschool on Tuesday. I made this dress for her. It matches her sister Emily's first day of Kindergarten dress I made, shown in an earlier post!
Good luck at school, Abby. I hope you love school as much as I do!

BOM with The Blockheads
I was so excited to get this project back from my quilter. I did this BOM with my quilting group, The Blockhead. I am finished EARLY! Well, I still have to bind it.
New Finishes: Charming Chatter Project
I have been finishing! I have dubbed 2010 the year of finishing (and beginning! LOL)
I participated in a quilt along at the Charming Chatter blog. Here is my newly quilted project minus the binding. It is made with Happy Campers by American Jane for Moda. I love this fabric and my little quilt. Binding it is on the To Do List for today!

A Block for Miki
Friend, Barbara, had the idea that we all make a block for Miki. Then she will put them together for a quilt as a thank you gift for hosting the Blockheads' first retreat.
Here is my block! I hope I can go!
