Hiked in the Rain

We hiked in the rain, wind, and snow today to Upper Holland Lake. The lake is still frozen solid. It was great exercise and the dogs had a blast!

New Projects

These are 3 table topper quilts that I have finished. I made the Crazy 8 one. With the leftover scraps I started piecing and ended up with the small one with the pinwheel center. Joan will be surprised by this one for her birthday tomorrow.
The runner I made using a Moda Bakeshop pattern for charm packs. This is the Verna line by Kate Spain. I love these fabrics. So fun and fast! I quilted them myself on friend, Wendy's Gammill.

My Bloggers Quilt Festival Entry

This quilt: ALL IN A DAY'S WORK was created by my quilting group, The Blockheads. We did it as an entry in Piece O'Cake Designs contest for one of  their new books. I designed the layout to show the colors of daylight with the sun rays radiating around the garden. 

Each Blockhead did the pattern on their block and returned it to me for piecing. It was quilted by Joann Farley.

 The Blockheads are PJ Secrist, Toni Sharp, Charlene Arrowsmith, Karla Walisky,  Nancy Dean, Barbara Odland, Peggy Orgill, Miki Bode, and myself, Lynn Koeppen. It was a fun collaboration!

More Wool Blocks

I have 2 more wool blocks for my Greenbriar quilt done! I'm working on the last one, and then will need to get the large center block done. I set my goal at having it done by the end of May! I think I'm going to make it! The second one is my favorite one!
